It’s not easy to stay true to yourself especially if it goes against society’s standards. Everyone’s been presented with a mold that they are required to fit into. However, we cannot blame those who believe they are someone entirely different than what they were born as. Case in point – the life of a young boy who became an LGBT+ role model.

Soon, the fear started to dissipate because Corey strongly desired to live as honestly as possible. The transition started when she was only 11 years old and this brave girl never looked back. Corey’s worries about being rejected by her family vanished when they gladly accepted her.
But the Maison family didn’t expect to go through this process again. It turns out that Erica Maison was inspired by his daughter’s story and decided to be honest with himself as well. He secretly hid his desire to become a man from his family for the same reasons.
