Let’s face it: we all need a break from our busy city life at some point in time. Most people tend to escape the hustle and the bustle of the city by getting in touch with nature. A lot of individuals prefer going to the beach but there are others who would rather set up a tent and go camping instead. As for this camper, his trip to Katmai National Park turned from peaceful to frightening as he got a chance to stumble upon wild bears.
In a news story from NTD.TV, a camper was able to record his encounter with a bear, identified as Holly, accompanied by her two cubs. Apparently, the wild creatures were headed for the water when they ran into him.
Now, others would likely fret at the mere sight of these grizzly animals, but the smart camper was able to maintain his composure. Slowly, he backed off so as not to alert the wild bears. As he did so, he made sure to record the tense moment on his camera. Even though the entire experience was quite terrifying, we have to admit that it was fascinating to get a load of his subjects.
In the end, the camper made it safe and sound after he moved off the trail.
According to NTD, the Katmai National Park, located in Southern Alaska, is home to wild bears in certain seasons. But, the preserve is chiefly known for its excellent camping grounds. The catch is, you have to expect that it’s likely for campers to encounter all sorts of forest animals such as these grizzly bears.
