Natural calamities have been hitting one country after another this year, and it looks like there is no end in sight.
Just this September 15, 2018, Super Typhoon Mangkhut, also called Typhoon Ompong, made its landfall in the Philippines leaving a trail of ruined infrastructures, crops, landslides, and injured citizens all over the country.
At around the same time, different areas of the world, such as Florida, USA, also experienced an intense hurricane that affected many residents as well.
But it seems as if Mother Nature is not yet done releasing her wrath.
Last September 28, 2018, the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia experienced a 7.5 magnitude earthquake closely followed by a 3 meter – or around 18 feet – tsunami. The city of Palu experienced the worst effects of the whole ordeal.
As of September 30, 2018, it has been reported that more than 800 people have passed away and the number is expected to rise as rescuers continue their search in the following days.
The twin calamities that hit the whole island left majority of the area devastated and hard to reach making search and rescue operations harder than it already is.
A 39 – second video recently went viral as it captured the devastation that hit the area. The video showed families trying to flee their homes as structures are starting to fall to the ground and after the earthquake and tsunami left big chunks of the ground cracked and vulnerable.
The video immediately gained thousands of views, shares, and reactions and many netizens also left their thoughts and prayers in the comments section.
“We Lift up our Hands to you our Heavenly Father for the people of Indonesia …” one netizen said.
“God please help them all the people of Indonesia…amen..” another netizen said.
