Robin Padilla recently challenged Senator Antonio Trillanes IV to face apprehension and surrender to the authorities after President Rodrigo Duterte revoked his amnesty over two military uprisings.
On Facebook, Padilla openly expressed his opinion against Trillanes. Being a known staunch supporter of Duterte, the 48-year-old action star recorded himself inside his car at the parking lot of the Senate while waiting for the politician to face his apprehension.
While waiting for Trillanes, Padilla said:
“Nandito po kami sa harap ng Senado ng bansang Pilipinas. At sa loob nito nagtatago ang isang Senador na mismong hindi sumusunod sa sa batas.”
Padilla then criticized Trillanes for not following the law. He said that ordinary people like him don’t have the privilege to be exempted by the law. Padilla also would occasionally laugh at Trillanes for his unfortunate situation.
“Kami mga ordinaryong tao, kapag may kaso, wala kaming magawa. Kapag sinabi ng pulis na kailangan namin sumama sa kanila, sumasama kami. Kahit na alam namin na wala kaming kasalanan.”
Aside from provoking Trillanes, Padilla also narrated a particular incident in the past. He revealed that he got apprehended because of building an educational institution.
In the end, Padilla even told Trillanes that he would accompany him inside the jail.
“Kung gusto mo, samahan kita ‘tol, kung natatakot kang makulong. Total, sanay din naman akong makulong.”
