Magtataho left lifeless after being run over by an intoxicated driver in Cavite

Facebook users mourn as one netizen shares an incident involving a magtataho and a reckless intoxicated driver.

The netizen, whose name is Glenn Daile Baquir, recalled how she witnessed the poor vendor take his last breath on the cold pavements near Robinsons Place Dasmariñas.

“I was next to you when you were close to lifeless on the road, struggling to breathe.”

As Glenn and her friends were standing near “kuyang magtataho“, a screeching car was vastly approaching their way. And to everyone’s shock, the car went straight ahead, hitting the unwary vendor. The unforgiving vehicle then proceeded to drag him along the cemented floor, until he ended up tumbling underneath it.

“I saw the way you got hit while you were about to sell the last taho you ever made. We saw how you were dragged and rolled under the car when that  car hit you.”

The photo attached to the Facebook post shows the Taho container on the ground, with all of its contents spilled along the road. Small yellow cups were also scattered on the tragic scene.

It turns out that the Korean driver of the said vehicle was intoxicated, as read on Glenn’s post.

“You gave a good fight and I’m sorry you had to be a terrible lesson learned for drivers like me. RIP. You’re in good hands now.”

The post has reached more than 18,000 reactions and 5,000 shares, alongside hundreds of comments from dismayed social media users. Read some of their comments below:
