Forbidden love is a novel topic that gains wide attention. From novels to movies to series to TV shows, people have long harbored intense feelings about it. Usually, the struggles of forbidden love is glorified — after all, love trumps all in the end.
In real life, however, having the kind of love that’s just not right in the eyes of many is not so glamorous. The struggle is definitely real, as not everyone will understand it especially at first. Take for instance the story of Shaira Heart Encinas — the student who fell in love with her teacher.
‘landi naman niyan!’
‘bata pa niya para kay sir Morales’
These are just some of the words Shaira would hear whenever people first learn about her forbidden love — which, apparently, started innocently enough. A certain Mhack Morales is apparently a student teacher in the school where Shaira studies. The 18-year-old student happened to have a friend who was also a student teacher.
One of Shaira’s friends urged her to add the cute Mr. Morales on Facebook. She obliged, and eventually the two started chatting. Time passed, and their relationship started to deepen. Everything was hidden from plain sight, though, since their situation really doesn’t allow for an open relationship yet.
Still, the two cannot deny their growing feelings for each other. They went on dates and exchanged gifts. The girl’s parents and extended family even knew about the guy! Through it all, the 18-year-old student reveals that they don’t actually have a relationship yet, for the teacher is still waiting for the right time — when Shaira graduates, breaking the curse of their forbidden love, and marking the beginning of their free relationship.
Netizens had mixed reactions about Shaira’s now-viral story.
Still, she had this to say to those who condemn their kind of love:
“Ganto kasi yan guys, kung talagang mahal nyo yung isang tao kung ilang taon payan, kung gano pa kapangit yan, kung gano pa kahirap yan at kung sino pa yan, KUNG MAHAL NYO! MAHAL NYO!!!”
What can you say about this? Do you believe love between a student and a teacher is okay? Why/why not? Share your thoughts in the comments section below!
