The world, though not perfect, is filled with amazing and kind-hearted people. They are the ones who we can refer to as “blessings” in this world. It is truly heartwarming to see the things that they do, not for themselves, but for the whole community. In fact, we can even refer to them as “inspirations” to do good. Recently, netizens got to see an example of this in a form of a woman helping out the less fortunate.
In a post by Facebook user Philip B. Sulian, netizens saw a woman, who chose not to give her name, helping out the homeless. According to him, the said woman went down the vehicle that she was riding in and distributed food personally prepared by her. All of this took place at the East Bank of Baranggay Sta. Lucia, on the edge of the Manggahan Floodway.
On December 18, 2008, the Supreme Court ordered the MMDA, as well as other local agencies, to clear out the areas that were the major paths of water in the area. This included the Manggahan Floodway and its entire community. Because of this operation, around 174 families were affected as they did not accept relocation offers. This led to a lot of them being homeless.
Knowing this, the woman mentioned earlier took matters into her own hands. With all her power, she decided to help out those who were in need.
As of now, the post that the netizen put up has gone viral. It has collected around 43,000 shares, 18, 000 mixed reactions and a stunning 4,000,000 plus views.
This act may be considered a “small gesture” by some but it will definitely go a long way. The world is truly blessed to have people like this woman in it. Hopefully, the 4,000,000 people who viewed the video pick up a thing or two about what they saw. Imagine if the world had that much people helping each other out. It will certainly turn into a much better place in no time. We commend the woman for her compassion and generosity! May she continue to share her acts of selfless love.
