In case you’re not aware, there is another reason to celebrate our “Pinoy Pride” after the Filipino all-male dance group Junior New System advanced to the next round of the “America’s Got Talent Season 13.”
In the first episode of the talent competition, the Junior New System unanimously received the all-important “YES!” from the celebrity judges Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell. Moreover, they even gave a standing ovation.
But before they even performed, the Junior New System revealed the reason why they decided to join the talent competition. According to the Pinoy dancers, they dreamed of representing the country on the “world’s biggest stage.”
Upon talking to the judges, all of the members eventually broke down into tears while narrating their journey. According to them, they used to be street children in the Philippines.
When it came to their performance, the judges and the audience were surprised after witnessing the high-octane dance routines and impressive acrobatics of Junior New System.
Unbeknownst to many of us, Junior New System won the Senior Grand Champion of the World in the 2016 World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA).
