One of Erwan Heussaff‘s biggest works as a professional content creator was the Tourism Promotion Board’s “Buhay Carinderia.” Although, he wasn’t so lucky when the project was revealed to be not as genuine as it appears. As it awaits it final verdict from the Commission on Audit (CoA), his wife Anne Curtis came to his defense when grilled about the controversy on Friday, May 25.

During the press conference of a food brand, the “It’s Showtime” host implied that she wasn’t worried about Erwan.
“I know where Erwan’s heart is talaga when it comes to that: it’s always about pushing the Filipino food. Yun lang naman ang gusto niya, ma-highlight ang pagkain na mga Pilipino, so I support him with that.”
As partner and sponsor of TPB, Marylinbert International Agency appointed Erwan as the content creator of “Buhay Carinderia“. However, things took a sudden turn when the Department of Tourism began to question their suspicious sponsorship deal. According to reports, then-chief Cesar Mortano released a whopping 80 million pesos for the project alone.

Going back to Anne, she said that she’s also given advice to Erwan in the wake of the controversy.
“I told this to my sister [actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith], I told this to Erwan, na parang this too shall pass. Basta you know where your heart is, you don’t have to worry about it.”
Meanwhile, Erwan has yet to give his official statement on the issue.
