Throughout the years, Pinoy Big Brother is one of the biggest reality TV show competition in the Philippines. This show has been around since 2005 and was originally hosted by Willie Revillame, Toni Gonzaga, and Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla.
Since it started in 2005, PBB has opened its doors to different seasons and different housemates who let their guards down and showed the world who they really are.
Many former PBB housemates also became famous actors and actresses after leaving the Pinoy Big Brother house. Some big Kapamilya stars who were once housemates are Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, Robi Domingo, Melai Cantiveros, Sam Milby, Yen Santos, James Reid, Ryan Bang, John Prats, Miss World 2013 Megan Young, and Daniel Matsunaga.
The newer set of housemates who became celebrities are Loisa Andalio, Joshua Garcia, Maris Racal, Ylona Garcia, Bailey May, Maymay Entrata, and Edward Barber just to name a few.
Maymay Entrata was hailed as the Big Winner for the latest season before PBB: Otso which is the Lucky Season 7 of the show. Here, Maymay got paired up with Edward Barber. The housemates during that season also got close to each other that even after finishing the show, some of them remained in contact as friends.
One Lucky Season 7 housemate who became close friends with Maymay and Edward is half-Filipino, half-Italian young actor and model, Marco Gallo.
After doing a few projects in the Philippines including a movie called Familia Blandina, Marco decided to leave the Philippines and go to Italy to continue his studies and pursue a modelling career there.
In an interview with PUSH ABS-CBN published last November 2018, Marco shared that he is with a modelling agency by a Filipina.
The young model shared, “It is owned by the first ever Filipina who put her modelling agency in Italy. M&M is managing my modelling career at the moment. M&M modelling agency founder and director Chona Bacaoco is from Guimaras, Iloilo city. She worked with Hollywood stars like Jennifer Aniston, Adam Sandler, Luke Evans, Julia Holmes, among others.”
Marco said tha he went to Italy to help his family in the Philippines.
He said, “I entered the world of modeling to earn some money and to help my family. And of course to not leave behind what I’ve started in the Philippines.”
Before leaving the Philippines, Marco said his goodbyes to his showbiz family and friends who always looked out for him, including Maymay and Edward. He said in an Instagram story,
“I don’t have words on how I feel about leaving you guys and not seeing you almost everyday, but starting from now I’m not gonna be there when u guys magtatampo sa isa’t isa, so stop being jealous of each other and just love and take care of yourselves, I guess I’ll see you soon.”
Now, it seems like Marco has adjusted well in moving to Italy. Just recently, Marco posted a photo of him basking in the sunlight while holding bottles of hard beverages.
The caption said, “got wasted for the Night.”
Marco posted it during his 18th birthday celebration in Italy.
