Dog in China goes back to the same spot for 80 days to wait for its owner

Dogs are one of the most loyal creatures in the world. This is probably because they normally live their lives knowing that the people who take care of them will be there forever so they feel the need to stay beside them and protect them. Dogs’ loyalty is very evident that’s why we have so many stories of dogs patiently waiting for their owner’s return even after, not knowing that will never go back to pet them. Take, for example, this now viral dog in China.

A video of a dog in China is recently making rounds on social media. Many who’ve seen the clip felt their heart break when they saw the dog waiting patiently for the return of its owner. According to reports, the dog was found on a road in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. Apparently, it has been going back to the same spot for around 80 days.

Reports say that the unidentified dog has been going back to the same place because it is waiting for its owner to come back. Unfortunately, its owner has already passed, but the poor pup still continued to go there hoping that one day, it would see its owner again.

A taxi driver who tried to help the dog told BBC, ” This owner’s relationship with her dog was very deep. After she was killed, this little dog has just stayed standing guard. Every day it’s in the road, I always see it. The relationship between man and dog is so true.”

Many who saw the video began to feel concerned about the dog’s welfare. Some worried about it getting hit by moving vehicles around the area while others are more concerned about it the food it eats. One user said, “”The weather is getting colder, and waiting in the middle of the road is not sustainable in the long run. Hope the family members of the dog’s owner or the relevant authorities can take care of the dog.”

Luckily, people around the area try to help the poor dog by giving it food. China News also reported that local authorities are trying to reach out to the dog’s owner’s family. As of now, the dog’s video has reached millions of views on Weibo and Pear Video.
